Glasgow Open

The event will take place at Scotstoun Leisure Centre, Glasgow.

The event is limited to 250 competitors maximum.

The event is Gi only but all divisions will be double elimination. This means that in ideal circumstances every competitor will receive 2 matches minimum. Please not that the minimum size for a division running is 3 competitors, any divisions of less than 3 will be automatically merged down in age group (for masters divisions) or up in weight to ensure all competitors receive matches.

White belt divisions will take place in the morning from 10am.

Coloured Belt divisions are planned to take place from 1pm.

PRICES (for weight categories):

Early entry (until September 5th): £40 adults/masters | £20 Juveniles

Normal entry (until October 2nd: £50 adults/masters | £30 Juveniles

Late entry (until November 1st): £60 adults/masters | £40 Juveniles

PRICES (Cash bounty absolute, please note you must be entered into a weight category before your are eligible to enter an absolute, adults & masters only for absolutes)

COMPETITION FORMAT:

All age and weight categories as per IBJJF rules.

All weight divisions will be run using a pool system. All entrants (barring injury or dq to opponents should receive multiple matches in their division)

Cash bounty openweight divisions are single elimination. For male competitors there will be two absolute divisions at each belt level , under 76kg and over 76kg. For females this is under 64kg and over 64kg at each belt. Prize fund will be determined by the number of entries in the division.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Closing date for all entries will be midnight on Sunday the 31st of October no entries will be accepted after this point and initial brackets will be available by no later than Monday November the 1st.

Competitors can use the Smoothcomp system to make a change in weight division up until midnight on Wednesday the 3rd of November no changes in division will be considered after this date and any competitor who fails to make weight on the day will be disqualified without any possibility of refund. All payments must be made via Smoothcomp ahead of the event.

All competitors must make weight on our scales. There are no allowances given.
