These terms apply to every membership, class pack, pay-as-you-go session and free trial. They sit alongside our Liability Waiver and Privacy Policy.
Members aged 16 and over may hold their own account. Anyone under 16 must be registered by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for them. Kids’ classes are for children aged 7 and over.
Before training you must accept the liability waiver and tell us about any medical condition, injury or medication that could affect your training. Keep this up to date.
Current prices are on our pricing page. Memberships are monthly and renew automatically: your card is charged on the same date each month until you cancel. There is no minimum term. We do not send invoices.
Monthly class packs give a set number of classes each month; unused classes do not roll over and expire at the end of the month. A one-off pack must be used within the period shown when you buy it.
If a payment is declined, the amount stays outstanding on your account until it is paid. You can clear it with your card on file from your account page.
We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change affects you. If you do not want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it starts.
Your first session is free, with no commitment. Free passes are one per person.
You can cancel at any time from the Membership & Billing section of your account, or by emailing grapple@legiongrappling.com. Your membership ends on the date you choose, which must be at least 7 days after you tell us. Any monthly payment that falls due before that end date will still be taken. There is no cancellation fee.
If you buy a membership or pack online, you have 14 days from the purchase to change your mind and get a refund, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Email grapple@legiongrappling.com to use this right. If you asked to start training during those 14 days, we may keep a fair amount for the classes you have already had.
Outside the 14-day period, we do not refund months or packs that have been paid for, including unused classes. This does not affect your statutory rights.
You can freeze a membership for between 7 days and 3 months (90 days), from your account or by asking us. Payments pause during the freeze and restart when it ends.
You can cancel a class booking up to 1 hour before the class starts. After that it can no longer be cancelled. We may change the timetable, cancel a class or close on bank holidays; we will tell you through our website or messages when we do.
Martial arts involve physical contact and a risk of injury. Follow your instructor, train within your limits, and stop if you are hurt or unwell. Do not train with a contagious skin condition.
Keep your nails short, remove jewellery and piercings, wear clean kit with no zips or pockets, and go barefoot on the mats. A gi is required for BJJ classes; a t-shirt and shorts are fine for a trial.
We may suspend or end a membership, without refund, for behaviour that puts other people at risk, or for abusive or discriminatory behaviour.
A parent or guardian is responsible for a child before and after class. In girls’ classes, male guardians drop off and collect at the entrance, and only mothers or female guardians may watch.
Nothing in these terms or in the waiver limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. Please do not bring valuables; we cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen belongings.
We may update these terms. We will tell members by email before a change that affects them takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
